iPhone 15 Pro Max iPhone 15 Pro Max froze and couldn't reset

15 PM froze today and used the left and right button combo but could not get back to the swipe to restart screen. Tried the up down volume key and right button trick to reset 10 times but could not do anything. Then siri button showed up at the bottom and was not doing anything. Swiped up and tried to close google maps which wqs stuck but no dice. In 14-15 years since first iPhone 3g not had something like this happen where my work was affected. Kept on trying the reset and finally it restarted.

This is very strange. Reset combo should work like force quit. Anyone have this issue?

Combo should always work. Did you do the correct button presses plus leaving your thumb on the lock button long enough to see the apple logo?

My 14PM did this a few times on the iOS 16 dev beta. Had to just wait until it reset on its own. Never got a resolution in the end.

yes. it was very disconcerting. never had any issue shutting down an iphone since 3gs. this was weird.
