In the first impressions thread, @jclardy mentioned how much easier it will be to watch hotel TV via the iPhone 15

As someone who bought all those extra special Lightning --> HDMI adapters and who uses them all the time when in hotels,
what do you recommend for the iPhone 15 Pro Max?

"You" = anyone with experience? Though I guess no one has experience yet since they just arrived...

Apple's site sells a Belkin USB-C --> HDMI but I've had 2 bad experiences with Belkin.

Yea, Watch or listen. This Hong Kong hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui piped TV sound into the bathroom.

Shout out to the ATP guys, especially the adorable Casey Liss :❤️: !

Apple recommends the Digital AV Multiport Adapter: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MUF82AM/A/usb-c-digital-av-multiport-adapter

It would be nice to find a "lightweight" (maybe woven) and non-stiff HDMI cable to have a travel-friendly setup.

This is a good business idea.👍👍👍 Perhaps, someone here at MacRumors or just a visitor can materialize this idea by having their company or building their own business to produce and market it.

I’ve got a couple of USB-C to HDMI cables from Anker that I’ve been using with my iPad and MacBook Air, which also work with the iPhone. They’re nice quality, woven, easy to carry, and support 4K60. It’s about as simple as you’ll find, so they only reason to look at alternatives IMO is if you want to charge at the same time, which is when you’ll need a USB-C multiport adapter.

Could I use MagSafe to charge it at the same time as the USB-C port is going to HDMI?

Been using a Novoo USB-C hub from Amazon for a while with my iPad Pro to HDMI to TV, so I can vouch that works. Anker has an adapter that looks good for a reasonable price. Should definitely work on the iPhone 15 line using a USB-C hub/adapter for display out.
