Apple will begin receiving mass shipments of the iPhone 15 Pro Max this week, according to information shared today by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. This suggests that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available in September, despite concerns over a production delay, but customers might need to order one quickly if they want launch-day delivery.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max at an event that is rumored to be planned for Tuesday, September 12. All four models are expected to be equipped with a USB-C port and the Dynamic Island, while many additional new features are rumored for the Pro models, such as a titanium frame, customizable Action button, faster A17 Bionic chip, Wi-Fi 6E support, and more.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have a 6.7-inch display like the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but with slimmer bezels around the screen. Next year, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to be equipped with an even larger 6.9-inch display.

One feature expected to be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year is an upgraded telephoto lens with periscope technology. Kuo previously said this lens would offer up to 5-6x optical zoom, compared to the current 3x limit.

Multiple reports have indicated that the iPhone 15 Pro models may be more expensive than iPhone 14 Pro models, with a $100 to $200 price increase possible in the United States. On social media, there has been speculation that Apple might increase the base storage of the devices to 256GB to help justify the higher prices.

I'm dubious about thunderbolt. Seems very un-Apple like to give people wha the want this soon, right after the USB-C change. They usual spread it out to increase sales. Then again, with a Max (or Ultra) it's unclear

I'm somewhat desirous of this new phone. :)

if the price increase is to believed...they need to....they need to go all in from the beginning
Even The ipad air has it...and is not a "pro" even in Apple marketing

So... is this the new lineup?
iPhone, iPhone Plus, iPhone Pro, iPhone Pro Max and iPhone Ultra?

I'll stick with the Pro Max and go with 512GB or 1TB this time for storage. 256GB served me well for a while, but my local matched music library has really outpaced it. Not even downloading lossless files either.

If all the storage tiers got bumped up one level, that would be really nice. I know people that are upgrading from a 64GB model and are really feeling the squeeze. 256GB base basically quadruples their available storage, and they’ll be good for a long time. Start at 256 and give us up to 2TB, which is a little more my speed.
Am I personally running out of space on a 1TB iPhone anytime soon? No. But will it last forever? Also no. I’d totally be in for a 2TB iPhone. And you know what? If down the line they did a 4TB iPhone, I’d be in for that too!

64GB would be an iPhone 12 or older. If they are just now feeling the squeeze after two years, 128 basically doubles their available storage and they’ll still be good for a long time. Plus, it’s not like Apple’s going to forbid them buying a device with more storage. I know a number of folks that went base the first time around and that’s the last time they ever bought a base configured phone.

Yeah, even doubling would be great, but quadrupling would be even better, if base got bumped to 256. More so for me than them. What it really means is that it puts off the amount of time before I have to be called in as the go-to free tech support guy again. I can suggest higher capacities all day long but I know they’re going to go with the base model at the end of the day. 256 base basically guarantees I’m not getting the “help I have no space, what do I do” call.
