Hi. I drop my phone 2x a day so I will be using a thick case and don't care about "feel" of the materials. I also went to the Verizon store where I couldn't pick up the phones and test the camera's, but I was able to scroll on the screen and I didn't really feel any particularly way about the pro motion.

So, if I don't care about titanium or pro-motion, is there any reason to still get the pro over the regular? I do like the idea of more ram, better processor but wanted to hear others based on taking those two things off the table.

I have the 15pro and got the 15 for my wife. There is not much difference other than promotion and AOD. We have a shared photo library that automatically uploads pictures we take of our son and you can’t tell a difference in the pictures, both phones have outstanding cameras. If I could deal with a 60hz screen I would get the 15 in heartbeat. To me the difference with promotion is huge but if you don’t see it there’s really no reason to get the pro especially since the 15 has better battery life. I like the AOD without a background but I wouldn’t call it a must have feature especially if you have an Apple Watch with AOD.

The biggest selling point to me is the promotion. But some people don't even notice it. If you are one of those people, just get the 15. They say it's the best base model possibly ever. That was the big upgrade this year.

Just build quality, seems the higher end ones are always nicer fit and finish

It’s like cars, I know of no one who gets the supercharged V8 who wishes they got the V6, but the inverse is not true

In my opinion the feature-quality difference between the regular iPhone 15 and the 15 Pro is the smallest it has been in recent years. I don’t feel that the limited extra features justify spending about €400-500 more on a pro model.

I bought a regular iPhone 15 and haven’t regretted it.

You get a better camera with a bigger sensor, a telephoto lens, more RAM, faster USB3.0 speeds, ProRaw and ProRes capabilities, the action button, always-on display, etc.

IMO the Pro is the better choice but both are fine, really. Depends on what you need and what you want.

Also the slimmer bezels, which may not seem like a big deal but i cant NOT see the ‘thicker’ bezels on the regular 15 now.

In a protective case I'd say the difference between aluminum and titanium is moot. The 15 is a little lighter than the 15 pro. The 3x zoom in the Pro MIGHT give it a slight advantage. All of the reviews I've read suggest the differences in cameras is minimal. The Pro would be better if you play graphic intensive games. Otherwise the differences in processor speed for the things most of use these devices for would be of no consequence. Because of processor differences the pro might get an additional year of IOS updates. Though by that time the processor in the base iphone will be several generations ahead and an upgrade might make more sense. FWIW, I think the "future proof" arguments are not very compelling for most folks. If you actually plan to keep the device a long time, then it makes sense. But in a lot of cases upgrading more often to lower tech devices makes more sense. 15 Pro > 15 but iPhone 18 > iPhone 15 Pro. If you watch a lot of video the promotion would likely be a very nice upgrade. But for general use it's not a big deal for many. Personally, I think the 15 is the better value, but that's really an individual decision. FWIW, I bought my wife the 15 Pro for her birthday. She really likes it and it's a lovely phone. I'll ask her to buy me a new phone for Christmas and frankly I've not decided if I'd go for the regular 15 or the pro. I know I don't want the larger size devices.

In what way is the pro motion very nice, when watching video? Most videos is 24 fps, some is 30, but it’s rarely more than 60. I think pro motion is mostly a benefit if you’re gaming some games that support a high refresh rate and/or if you’re scrolling really much. That’s just my two cents

And a very much poorer battery life in 15 pro

I went with 15PM due to the camera. I have kids, cats, and partners who skateboard—I take a ton of skate videos with action mode so I can run along with them, and so many pictures of my cats and kids. I like the size of the PM but if it didn’t exist I’d definitely get the pro to have the best camera possible.
