iPhone 15 Pro Max iPhone 15PM keeps overheating when using wireless CarPlay with wireless charging

Since updating to iOS 18 my iPhone 15PM keeps overheating within 30 minutes when using wireless CarPlay and wireless charging at the same time. Never did this before.

Anyone else having this issue? It gets so bad that actually disconnects CarPlay and all wireless signal.

I’ve seen it happen in the sun.

Haven’t seen it otherwise myself; my wireless charger is in a cubby in the console - fair bit of air around it (~4” above, ~2” sides, open front) but not in line with vents.

This was at 8:30 at night. It’s like 7 degrees c outside in the UK

I used to have that with my xs max. I since learned and if the phone has to charge I charge wired or use wired CarPlay.
