I am withholding getting a new case for the iPhone 16 Pro, since I want to see how the new camera button functions.

Case manufactures have different way of doing things, and when I saw how Apple did it with so called capacitive buttons (https://appleinsider.com/articles/24/09/13/hands-on-with-apples-silicone-cases-for-iphone-16). The cut out versions of some cases seems also not great to me.

Anyone has some insights into this what kind of case would work? I am looking for a slim clear case, which seems even more difficult than the non-clear ones.

thanks. I have the 15pm apple clear case. I really like that the bottom of the case was open, made the bottom screen swiping far less frictionless. I didn't like the smudging and 'fattening' of the back part of the case and that there was no contours, it didn't feel grippy enough. So I didn't want to opt for Apple's case this year. That's why I am a bit hesitant to find non-apple cases when the camera control button is yet clear whether it works nicely with other cases.

I need a case on day 1 because I carry my iPhones (work & personal) on my belt with a clip in belt holder case, thus the Apple clear case.

I am looking at the ESR and Casetify cases that have the camera ring protector and doubles as a kick stand.

I'll try them out once they are on Amazon and then I can decide whether to go with Apple, ESR or Casetify.

thanks for sharing! which ESR one is this, there was two version. I was more inclining to the lighter version of it. Also, how is the 'grip' of the ESR compared to the Apple one for your? With my apple one I feel less grip over time when it get more used (more sweat/hand oils on it). Since the apple one doesn't have any ridges its so smooth it's just not so satisfying to hold.

This one below. Grip is good no slip. The Apple one is also grippy. At least for now.
