Seriously? Can you see there're three in the photo? How about the one on the left? Don't waste my time please.
I’d suggest you read the article. The whole article is about how Apple is considering two camera designs for the iPhone 16, not the 16 Pro; the one on the left is a representation of what one of those designs would look like. They are all modified images of the current iPhone 15.

I suggest you think before you comment. Are you here to argue? Seriously? Keyboard hero. How many articles out there only mention iPhone 15 which actually included the pro models??

The new back panel looks good but I just wish they would improve the interaction for tweaking volume. When you change volume on a plus or max device, it involves so much moving. Wouldn't it be better to do something like solid state with on screen volume control?

Like a solid state button just below power and it would "invoke" the volume slider on the screen just next to the button you pressed
It works like that now… once you hit either volume button the slider pops up on the screen and you can, if you want, adjust it there.

You posted something that doesn't make sense, and wasn't true. Then you proceeded to buckle down when it was challenged. Now you are insulting me.

Might want to do the research into that. I have heard a lot of people outside of the usual fanatics are not happy with their pixels and especially the processor of choice (tensor) that google is using.
Pixel 8 pro is supposed to be pretty solid. Android 14 is pretty sweet too. I find it less buggy than iOS 17 and far more powerful.

Pixel in general are terribly ugly phones. Probably the worst Android phones I have seen in awhile. For that matter so are galaxies.

If i HAD to use Android, i wish Sony was a big player here in the states. They(and HTC) have always made the best designed ANdroid phones.

Shame we are stuck with Google/Moto/Samsung as the only major player and all their phones are terrible looking.

As far as the Pixel 8 and Android 14, the AI features really seemed a bit overhyped and the OS still performs(in my opinion) as dreadful as usual.

I find iOS 17 to be dreadful. Full of bugs, awful battery life, yet no real major redesign or improvements. It’s still a completely locked phone OS that limits me from true automation like Tasker. Apple makes beautiful and powerful mobile device hardware but couples it with garbage software.

Garbage software that most of the US prefers despite google being better (and it has nothing to do with marketing) and despite competing against 1000s of Android phones, it still has nearly 30 percent of Global market share. If Android was so much better, you'd see more people defecting from iPhones to Android. Usually, it's Android to iPhone.

Garbage software that:
  1. People like Beeper are literally hacking to bring to android
  2. it's competitors are trying to copy
  3. if they cant copy they are running to the Government to force apple to open up becuase they cant compete and realize that without Apple adopting their way (RCS) it is DOA lol.
Not discounting your alleged experiences with IOS by any means, but i have not had any major issues running IOS (since the summer on Betas) on my 11 nor my 15 PM.

I can definitely say Android has been terrible on my galaxy S22 and other devices I have used and I constantly feel as if i am using poorly optimized OS.

You guys want IOS to be open so bad, just stick with Android lmfao. Because i hate the idea of IOS being anything remotely haphazard and a mess like android. T

The reason most people like iOS is that it's easy to use out of the box. Android is garbage to use for a "beginner"/non-techie person. Full of bloatware and super complicated. But if you really try you can give it deep customization, automation, and such.
Also, the only reason android has 70% market share worldwide is because there are tons of crazy cheap android phones. The average selling price of an android phone worldwide is $286. Apple barely even sells a watch for that cheap! (and that model doesn't have cellular)
As for me, as a techie person, I still like iOS better. Wish I had an iPhone.

I am a techie person as you called it. I am 27 years old. While my peers were rocking Sidekicks and Nextel walkie talkies I was the 11 year old with the Blackberry storm and Windows mobile devices. I used Android for the better part of 13 years from the early 1.5 cupcake days with the G1 (the first mainstream Android device). The motorola Droid and I used to be a HUGE HTC fangirl. i even was with the Windows phone 7 and 8 and windows mobile 10 eras

(Side-note: i really have had way too many phones over the years).

So i like to think I know tech very well. Android is a powerful OS but as i have said multiple times before, it is an OS that does a lot but very little actually well. Choosing an Android results in fragmentation. Be it in the Operating system. the hardware from the manufactur. The carrier supoort (if you go through the carrier). Etc etc

People make IOS out to be some easy to use OS that people only choose because it is easy or because it is a status symbol. It's not 2007 anymore. People these days want an ecosystem and a strong one and Apple really is the only one providing that.

You can buy a 15 PM or you can buy a 2022 Se and you are still getting a mostly solid and consistent experience through and through. People want reliability over anything.
