Haven't upgraded for a few years, what's the go to for cases and screen protectors these days?

I got the Apple Leather case for the 14PM and Spigen Glastr Ez Fit for the screen protector a few years ago

UK / Amazon - I see there are already some on there (as there has been in previous years) - I wonder how they get the dimensions spot on without even having a device for reference.......

Thanks!

Leather case wise, I went for the mujjo last year and it has been about the same as the previous Apple Leather cases.

This year I am trying the Ryan London as they get good reviews and was about £10 cheaper than the mujjo.

It will be interesting to see how well the cut out for the camera button is, shame Apple stopped the leather cases, really dislike all their other options.

I used a Spigen screen protector last year and it has been a solid product, no issues. It was my first screen protector in years

Got a Torras 15 Pro Max Screen Protector last year at launch and while it was good at keeping my iPhone scratch and crack free (naked iPhone) and did not get any bubbles underneath the display, I did not like the black borders it had that cut into the display.

With the reduced bezels of the 16 Pro Max, I would really want a screen protector that does not impair my screen with black borders that cut into the viewing area of the display.

Maybe back to Spigen? Had it for 13 Pro Max and it was great.

I’m looking at the Torras screen protectors. Never used them before?

I usually use ESR and find them excellent. Funny think is that when I apply them there seems to be bubbles but they always go over night.

Best thing to do, which I do with all my phones when applying screen protectors

In the bathroom, run the shower super hot until the room fills with steam
Turn shower off and wait for steam to clear
Apply screen protector in there

The steam clings to any dust particles in the air and brings them to the ground

Has worked for me for many years anyway lol

I'm going with the Mous Clarity 3.0 as my case and DBrand Prism 2.0 as my screen protector for the 16 Pro Max. The process for the Prism looks soooooo easy to install.

Just got my 16PM Silicone Case in Lake Green - took a few pictures in case anybody was curious, including close-ups of the Camera Capture button from both sides. The exterior of the camera capture seems to be the same crystal on the phone, but the interior appears to be silicone like the interior of all the rest of the buttons. Feels like it shouldn’t be too hard for third-party case makers to replicate rather than the cutouts I’m seeing on all the non-Apple launch cases.

The Lake Green is also less green than I was anticipating - definitely a very blue-green.

Any questions, let me know.

Looks pretty nice that. How does the silicon case feel in the hand?
Was hoping my local A store had stock so I could go and have see in person.

Due to the camera button, I'm probably going to get one of these till 3rd parties catch up.

I've changed my pre pre order from desert ti to black ti as I think that will be the best to match cases to.

Thanks!

last year i remember with the torras and similar protectors with black borders they needed a revision after the phone came out. hopefully this year that's all sorted from getgo

i definitely like the torras diashield and going to be looking for the same one for the 16 pro.

Holy crap the beats black case is a fingerprint nightmare. I tossed my fine woven last year after a week. I may be shopping before I even order my phone

I will go no case but with a screen protector.

I usually buy Spigen's ones so I will do the same this time too. While shopping for it, I found Low-Reflection Glas.TR AR for the iPhone 16 and I was very curious about it and it wasn't that much more expensive than the regular one (about 22$ for two)
It just shipped so I will keep you updated

Anyone tried these before?

Check the iPhone 15 screen protectors thread.
WSKEN was very appreciated at that time. Shoulder to shoulder with Torras I can say.

after about a half hour research of screen protectors on this form, ive decided (at the moment) on the WSKEN Screen Protector. Looks like it has the best coverage of the display which is important to me because I use my iPhones naked and hate the gaps some screen protectors have.

I also find the "earpiece speaker cover" to be interesting. When I moved from the 13 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max, I was disappointed to see that the 15PM earpiece speaker has such a large hole for dirt/dust to get in and didn't have a mesh like the 13PM did. I legitimately thought I gotten an unfinished iPhone until I checked others.

Still not 100% decided since I think I would prefer a screen protector that doesnt have black borders (since when you view the screen off axis, you have some of the black border covering your display). So Spigen is still an option i guess. Torras is in 3rd place right now.

I got the WSKEN and Torras though today.

WSKEN has gone straight back - Their black border is twice as thick as Torras'.

Torras' is very thin. Thin enough? We'll find out next week

Weirdly enough, i cant find the 3D Torras version for the 16 pro. The version that was updated & released several months after the original “GlassGo” and it has much more curved edges. Link to the 15 pro 3D version:

wow thanks for this.

i guess it’s back to the drawing board for me lol

Will be patiently waiting for your feedback on the Torras and how it fits on the iPhone next week

If of any use, the Apple Silicone cases are £39 in Currys UK for delivery next Friday.
I'll probably just pay full price next week, just in case it doesn't turn up on time, but might be useful for someone.

Torras sent me their revised version FOC after feeding back that the first released ones' borders were rubbish. I didnt think they had more curved edges, just thinner borders
