"Apple will introduce a new manufacturing process."

What it really means: someone in China developed a new manufacturing process and Apple will regain exclusive rights to this process for the next 12 months.

Forget the camera. Fix the display so it doesn't cause eye strain and headaches. That would be worthy R&D effort.

They did and the lens flare is still there. :(

The 15PM was a HUGE improvement over the 14PM, having both, and being a photographer.

With my 14PM it was very noticeable when direct sunlight was nearby, but out of the frame. With my 15PM I've yet to see any in identical shooting situations.

"tetraprism lens with up to 5x optical zoom" - If I understand iPhone cameras, the optical zoom is exactly 5x. Less than 5x is done in software by blending the image from the main camera with the telephoto image. Over 5x is digital zoom. It's not a telescopic zoom like on a DSLR. Am I right?
That would be my understanding as well.
They should be called telephoto, rather than zoom.

Finally, an actual useful addition!
Have had several night time photos ruined by flares from lights - even candles on a cake in a dimly lit room!
Not something I would upgrade from my 15PM for, but a useful addition nonetheless.

Tim Cook: we’ll delay this coating process and apply on the iPhone 17 pro📱 muhahah to temp you to buy

If true, will be a very nice improvement over the present cameras of 15 Pro.

this would be rather huge for photography for smart phones. vivo is the only phone which can manage lens flare very well.
