New phone has same specs so looks like it’s normal.

I bought 16 pro on the very first day, noticed dust inside ultra wide and telephoto. Returned it, and now waiting for new one which will be delivered by 8th oct. I am now pretty sure that it will consist dust particles too because i have checked the phones which they keep on display and all of them have the same thing. Let's see
Absolutely correct

I had the same issue when I got a 13 pro max back in 2021. Apple sent me a replacement no questions asked. It was about a month after release.

16 Pro, bought in Canada.
One spec in telephoto lens, others are clean.

I would not be concerned, no effect of any kind on photos.

My iPhone 16 Pro has the tinest specs that I honestly don't think will have any impact. In fact, it was harder to keep larger dust on the outside off the lens and even those didn't have any effect.

My iPhone 13 Pro had a tiny spec in one of its lenses and no issues either.

My first iPhone 11 Pro had a larger spec of dust in one lens (bottom) and a dirty lens (right side) as well and that one I did exchange for another one.

I have a green spec visible in the camera app / photos, took it to the Apple Store and they told me they can't do anything because it COULD be the 18.1 beta. The one I downloaded to get the AI this phone was "designed for". They were also unable to recreate it in their wildly bright store. Even though I had 2 screen recordings, multiple photos and a video showcasing the issue.

They insisted I must restore, re-set it up on 18.0, get ANOTHER appointment, and have them try to recreate in store again.

Got another appointment for Saturday and if they give me the run-around again, it's getting returned. I'm not getting stuck with defective hardware that they refuse to replace.

Attached photo is one I just took after restoring to iOS 18.0 👍

I guess it is not due to dirt particles inside camera, it might be another hardware defect

Unfortunately quality control is really terrible the last few years, and particularly this year.

Dust inside the camera lens never used to be the norm on iPhones, and now you have to be lucky to get one WITHOUT dust! And it absolutely does affect your photos in certain spots.

10 returned 16 pro’s so far, all with various dust inside the camera, scratches on the screen, titanium frame, etc.

They must’ve relaxed the manufacturing checks.
My 16 pro max is perfect maybe you have OCD nothing is perfect in life I decided to stop checking my phones.

I have returned zero 16 pro max.

Pretending the problem doesn’t exist doesn’t mean that it doesn’t actually exist.
I’ve been having this issue with multiple iPhones in the past Other users in the past told me to stop looking at the phone issues and use the phone if it’s working just use it A phone a phone.

If it doesn’t show photos or videos and I would ignore it because it will drive you nuts if you have to keep exchanging the phone if it’s working fine, just keep it unless you had a scratch on the display then don’t worry about it.

Question goes begging. In all those 10 devices how was the OLED panels ?
