Man, if I wasn’t already happy with my purchase, after today I’m amazed by the battery life of these two devices. Got to the gym today at 3:30am did an hour workout on the treadmill which I tracked on my Apple Watch Ultra and played music through my AirPod pros the entire time, got to the car almost 2 hours later plugged in my iPhone to head to work and Apple Watch Ultra and iPhone we’re both sitting at 99%. Damn that’s beautiful. I hope next year Apple doesn’t sacrifice battery to make it slim slim again.

Not exactly a strain test. While iPhone have great battery life and especially 15 and 16 pro max the same can’t be said for AW even the Ultra. 1 hour on treadmill doesn’t activate GPS and screen is not too bright being in the gym inside. Go to the beach on a sunny day and then you will drain 20-30% in 2 hours while watch is not tracking anything at all.
iPhone 16 Pro Max goes toe to toe with S24 Ultra with very little difference but same can’t be said about Ultra vs competitors (for workout tracking).

Yeah, I was thinking that as well. Usually when I run in the park it has to activate the GPS. But even still only 1% is crazy. I’m coming from the First Gen AWU so I do see a difference so far. 6 hours later and I’m at 86%. Still happy so far.
