It's amazing how many different shades there has been of this model and how thin the margin is from actually looking classy and looking like someone dropped it in a used toilet.

Will bring some some excitement to the event to see what shade it ends up being, but also supports the reason why we don't have a gold 15, the color is so hard to nail.
Not gonna lie, I read “excrement” here, thanks to the prior sentence

It reminds of a Porsche 911 and 912 color referred to as Baby Sh** Brown...
A friend had a 912 in that color and yes, that pretty much described it...

What's going to be a real knee-slapper is gold titanium (assuming the rumor is true) is going to end up being a very popular iPhone color choice. Another smart move on Apple's part.

Despite all of the "expert" predictions to the contrary here.

Yes, it uses the anodized layer thickness to create the appearance of color, unlike dyes which are actually a color.

No red - cannot anodize titanium red.
I’m not sure why we’re talking about anodizing though. iPhone 15 pro’s are PVD coated.

Just a few weeks ahead of Apple unveiling the iPhone 16 series, we potentially have an early look at a new color option for the Pro models.

9to5Mac today shared a mockup image of the rumored gold finish for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, based on information provided by a previously-accurate source. The publication believes this image is "likely" accurate.

iPhone 15 Pro models were the first highest-end iPhones to not be available in gold since the iPhone X. The devices are offered in four finishes, including Natural Titanium, Blue Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium. The addition of a gold color option for iPhone 16 Pro models would mark a return to the norm.

There have been many rumors about the iPhone 16 Pro models being offered in a gold or bronze option, which is expected to replace Blue Titanium. Apple's event on September 9 is fast approaching, so we'll find out for sure soon.

If you keep changing your shades of dark and gold and so on every year it proves one thing. You can’t get it right once and for all.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max is purple, but in a transparent case you’d be hard pushed to tell. I’m going to upgrade the equivalent 16 but probably going for black and a red case so it’s more obvious which iPhone is mine.

Unless you’re brave enough to not use a case the colour is pretty irrelevant IMO.
Yep I have the purple 14PM. It’s a great color.

This is Apple, folks. It‘ll look gorgeous.

Will it? Are those facts that if Apple makes a color it’s amazing? I would beg to differ. The golds of the past aren’t anything special. They don’t necessarily look bad, but not great like a special color. Deep Purple, blue, green just to name a few. Much better choices.
