iPhone 16GB 3Gs or iPod Touch 64GB

Hi

I'm thinking of getting either iPhone 16GB 3Gs or iPod Touch 64GB, I don't really need the iPhone as a primary phone but more of a device to use the apps etc..

So what do you recommend? is there speed deference etc..?

If your not using the iPhone as primary phone then I would recommend going with the iPod touch, I have both and I made a boot up test video here (iPhone 3GS vs iPod Touch 64GB)
The iPod was 2 or 3 seconds faster to boot, although they both have same RAM and processor.

If you don't need the gps,3g,phone,camera. Then go for the iPod.

Last thing is that there is a high chance that the iPhone will get updated next june.

iphone all the way. It does way more, and no need to carry another phone.

I would get the Touch. The new iPhone comes out in around 3 months. Just sell your Touch in May/June and use that money towards that money towards the new iPhone. If you don't need a new phone right now, then it is pointless to buy the 3GS.
