I know we’re just a few days into the new 16Pro’s but I’m wondering if anybody has gone from 15Pro to 16Pro and seen any significant improvement in battery life?

My only complaint with the 15Pro is the battery life…it honestly sucks. I have to charge twice a day. And before you say it, no I do not want a Pro Max. Had a 14 Pro Max and despised it. Couldn’t wait to get rid of it which is why I went with 15Pro….I would be completely content with this phone if it had better battery life though.

Anybody got any real world comparisons with the 15Pro? I’m willing to upgrade if it’s a significant improvement.

What is your current battery health % that leaves you charging twice a day?? Are you streaming video constantly? I can't answer your question, I never had a 15P and I haven't had my 16P long enough to drain it yet.

I mean, normal to heavy user I guess? I mainly use Reddit and safari. I watch some YouTube videos but not that much.

I'd check the battery usage of your apps. Sometimes there are apps that will drain your battery doing updates in background. Just scroll down on the main "battery" setting to see which apps are using what. If you see any that you aren't actively using that have significant battery % use, turn off their background updates.

I’ve done all the battery saver things. Turned off location settings, background refresh, notifications for most.

If everything works fine on your 15 Pro maybe specify what kind usage you have.

I've had 15 Pro for the past year, no iPad, no Watch. I really use the phone a lot, messaging, camera, emails... Usual work day I start with 80% and the evening it's between 30% and 40%.

When travelling and using camera a lot outside (this is the biggest batter drain), I charge to 100% in the morning and have never needed to charge during the day.

I expect 16 Pro to be about 10% better, will see in a few weeks.

Similar battery stats to you, charging twice during the day and before bed. Have you tried mobile data set to 4g instead of 5g auto?

Yes, I’ve had 4G on pretty much from the minute I took it out the box. I don’t even get true 5G in my area.

I can’t say about the 15 Pro as I had the 15 Pro Max but my iPhone 16 Pro to the 14 Pro is night and day. May I ask if you have set a charge limit on the phone with the new iOS 18 update?

I’ve only used the 80% charging limit about 5% of the time since I got the phone. I can’t limit myself to 80% when the battery life still blows at 100%!

I have used the 80% battery setting for a year and never used Magsafe wireless charging. My health on 15pro is 96% with 363 count. So I am not sure if 80% helps.

Granted my 14PM was on 17.0 for past year and never saw any updates from there (my doing) but battery life on my 16 pro by comparison of memory seems excellent. Even using gps a bunch today without a charger, I’m not feeling the end of day squeeze really

And probably using my phone more since it’s a new toy than I might normally as well

Also interested in this. Anyone who can already provide some real usage insight on how the battery of the 16 Pro compares to that of the 15 Pro?

So Calif
From my 14+ that had incredible battery life (over twice compared to my 14PM).

16 Pro has much better battery life compared to my 14PM.

From what I’ve seen with mine so far, it can get anywhere from 8-10 hours with mixed usage. I have AoD off and only use 4G LTE, which might affect things

I haven’t closely looked at numbers, but my 16 Pro seems to have much better battery life than my 15 Pro. I could watch it drop on my 15 Pro. Based on my use, I think it’s much better. Battery was my biggest issue with 15 Pro.
