I still don't think they even need 120hz at all. I keep Promotion turned off on my 16 Pro. iOS is smooth enough without it so why burn battery? Its the same with the AOD, all it takes is a tap to see the time and messages and most of the time the phone is in my pocket or upside down on the arm of my sofa. It makes a suprisingly stable coaster for my tea.

cmon of course it needs it. 60hz does not feel smooth at all. It's a night and day difference

It does on Android. But on iOS I find I can live without it on the iPhone.

It makes a heck of a difference on the iPad though.
