I know this is just a rumor, but I'm surprised the Air would come in such boring colors, usually Apple's most colorful line is the Air.

Hopefully if a lot of people respond to the aspirational renders, the actual people in charge at Apple might be swayed as well. In the meantime, it helps remind us things don't have to be boring.

I won't be upgrading this year, but I'm glad to see Apple take a shot with the orange color. Hope it looks as good in reality as in the renders.

I think of pastels as mostly Spring or Easter holiday colors. Or Jordan almonds at a June wedding. I'd rather have something either deep and metallic, or organic. I used to laugh at colors like Zune brown, but now I think a deep chocolate or leather would be fun. Especially if it's got a bit "scuffed" on the edges.

I said most colorful, yes Apple has never done anything truly colorful since the iPhone 5C, but the Air are typically more colorful, than the non-air versions. But these rumors look like the basic 17 will have more/brighter colors than the Air.

Also, the large camera bar makes a substantial portion of the colored phone visible even when you use a non-clear case.
