Hey, couple questions about the iPhone 17 Pro pre-order for pick-up at an Apple Store.

1) On apple.com when I log in to my Apple Account and click Orders, my pre-order says "Trade In Kit" and that they'll mail me a trade-in kit, even though I selected "Trade In at the Apple Store" when pre-ordering. The Apple Store app does show the correct option for "Apple In-Store Trade In". I placed the order on apple.com, not through the Apple Store app. Anyone else running into this discrepancy? How do I know which one is correct?

2) More of a curiosity question – I noticed many models are not available for Apple Store pick-up on launch day (September 19) but show available for pick-up at that same store the next day, September 20. I'm curious – does this mean the Apple Stores typically receive more stock overnight on launch day to prep for Day 2, or are they just manaigng traffic on day 1 by constraining those slots?

I have done first day order for the new phone a few times with doing Store pick up and they have always still mailed the box, yes you can trade in at the store but you need to spend some time there to at least start the transfer to the new phone from your trade in. I guess some do not do that and instead pick up at the store take home the new phone do the transfer then mail off the trade in. This gives you the option.
Your second question I think really depends on the store and how many pre orders that store is getting. My Apple store which is considered the big one in Las Vegas for the first hour looked to have all the colors of the Pros available for store pick up on Launch day, I have checked now 5+ hours later and some are showing pick up in store on the 20th while others are are stating No Store Pick up at this time.
