iPhone 17 Pro Keeps Turning On in Pocket

Hi,

My iPhone 17 Pro keeps turning on while it’s in my pocket. Sometimes I’ll lock the phone using the right side button after shooting video, put it in my pocket, and later discover that it has been recording video for 10 minutes or more because pressure in my pocket seems to activate some of the on-screen buttons that activate video.

I also use an Apple Watch and have already turned off “Unlock with Nearby Devices” under Face ID & Passcode. I’ve also turned off Raise to Wake and Always On Display, and set Auto Lock to one minute.

This behavior is significantly affecting my battery life.

Is there a setting I can change to ensure that movement or accidental screen touches do not wake or activate the phone while it is in my pocket, especially after I have manually locked it with the side button?

Delete the camera and flashlight "virtual" button/shortcuts from the lock-screen and adjust settings for the camera button on the side.
I tend to try and put the phone in my pocket with the screen facing "out" so that if the screen touches my leg it won't see that as a touch.
Mess around with turning off the "tap to wake" feature, disable AOD, disable "raise to wake and lock screen notifications might also help.

There's more tweaks that can be done but maybe the above suggestions is enough.

Thanks. It's amazing how many settings you have to disable just to not have the iphone start recording or doing werid crap and burning a hole in your pocket as it heats up.
