While the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are not expected to launch until September, there are already plenty of rumors about the devices.

Excited for the camera improvements especially the front facing camera. Will be good if the optical zoom remains at 5x. Dual video recording will be nice to have and will no longer have to depend on 3rd party apps. Not sure whether sky blue will be on the 17 Pro and if so, it will be good if it is a bit brighter than the one on MacBook Air.

Something tells me the N3P chips, including the A19, are going to be quite hot…

They are designing the iPhone with a vapor chamber and overall an improved cooling system.

Oh the other hand, we know the N3P process “only” offers a 5% increase in efficiency at the same clock speed, and they are going to overclock it more to achieve a more noticeable performance improvement. So… yeah, quite hot I suspect.

I still say that the reason for the larger camera bump is to hide a much more sophisticated telephoto lens system than we currently know about. That extra interior space may make it possible for a periscope-style 10X optical/100X digital zoom system with a 48 megapixel sensor.

Apple should re-introduce 3x lens if the iPhone 17 Pro dummy models are the real deal, in the 2026 and newer models...

I'd rather have the best possible camera than have the backside of the phone, that I never even look at, be pretty.

Have you considered getting an actual camera? I don’t mean to poke at you, just curious because you said you want the best possible camera. I think we’re at a point where a camera has a phone built in rather than the other way around. Somehow I like the idea of 16E with a single-dual camera, but I wish the phone was smaller.

Make it thicker, then no stupid visor and worlds best battery life. And no Siri or apple intelligence cause it doesn't exist

This design is uglier every time I see it. Apple was aware that they need to change the disign, to at least update it slightly, but there was only one free designer whose Mac had crashed so he only used a malfunctioning pen and a ruler to design it.

A lot of the so-called “new features” on the iPhone 17 Pro feel more cosmetic than functional.

Switching from titanium to aluminum seems like a clear downgrade, not an upgrade probably a cost-saving move.

The redesigned camera bump and new color are just aesthetic.

The real improvements are the A19 chip, Wi-Fi 7, 48MP telephoto, 24MP front cam, and 12GB RAM.

Everything else feels like minor tweaks dressed up as innovation.

Keeping the 15 pro for another year then. I have blazing fast Wifi 6E and have no plans to upgrade to 7 anytime soon. Plenty of battery already for me. The 48mp is a gimmick, and most people leave off the extra detail off in their camera settings anyways. There is nothing here to lure me in. I've also seen enough of what Apple can (or can't) do with AI, and I'm definitely not upgrading any hardware for their perpetually broken promises of some AI in the future.
