All of the diagrams I've seen are vague about this - they point, more or less, to the area left of the front camera. Lots and lots of screen protectors are being sold for the 17 Pro without even a hole for the front camera, much less a cutout for the mic and speaker. If I knew precisely where they were, I want unobstructed audio i/o and camera. Will I need to do some screen protector surgery? Thanks.

Thank you. The 17 Pro has four "study quality" speakers, two at the bottom, one in the camera island, and the last one is at the top of the front. I would like to know precisely where it is. Diagrams like this one come close but don't indicate exactly where the mic and speaker are.

Apple's repair manuals for iPhone models show internal diagrams, orderable parts, etc. I found the one for iPhone 17 pro with search terms:
apple repair manual iohone 17 pro

Here's the main page link, and the internal diagram.

If you need to find out exactly where the holes for the speakers and mic are located, then you may need an external diagram. Another option might be to visit a retailer and take photos of exactly where the holes are on an actual unit.

Thank you very much. Very good to have a link to the repair manual.

Meanwhile, someone in the Apple forums shared this page with useful diagrams of the speaker locations. That's good enough for now, as it means the front mic and speaker aren't covered by glass screen protectors.
