Never ceases to amaze me that people actually care what a phone looks like yet walk around with bull rings in their nose, man buns, tattoos on their face, green and blue hair or in pajamas and slippers.

I’ll pass on this year’s lineup of iPhones. It’s the same iteration year after year, with the only real change being the camera bump alignment. Apple needs to do better and deliver products people actually want. They failed with Vision Pro and Project Titan, and now I’m hoping they don’t mess up the iFold next year.

Vision Pro had a rocky rollout. Despite pioneering mixed reality tech, users found it heavy, uncomfortable, and underwhelming in daily use. Production reportedly ceased by late 2024 due to limited demand and inventory buildup.

Project Titan, Apple’s long rumored electric car, was officially canceled in early 2024 after years of development and billions spent. Most team members were reassigned to Apple’s AI efforts.

All eyes are on the iFold next year. Apple cannot afford another misstep if they do, Samsung and other competitors will continue to dominate the market and consume Apple market share, and users will leave Apple behind as an obsolete brand while chasing the latest futuristic tech elsewhere by 2030.

So basically nothing to see here folks. Camera update yippee. The 2026 foldable can’t come soon enough.
I’m really looking forward to the iFold unofficial name for now, but when it finally drops, this could be the true successor to the iPhone X. The recent iPhones just feel like small iterations, but the iFold has the potential to actually bring something new to the table. Hopefully Apple follows through this time and doesn’t let it end up like some of their other projects that never made it.

It has been about 4 years since I had an iPhone. The regular iPhone 17 with 120 hz pro motion screen at 6.3" and latest chip for $799 is a pretty good deal. I may just sell my s24 ultra and buy the iPhone 17 unlocked.

I enjoy some features of Android more and some features of iOS more so it is a wash in the end. Since I have a Mac and iPad I miss the connectivity and ecosystem cohesion I once had. I hate that Apple doesn't allow Android phones the same level of connectivity but I understand why. I have compared Windows Ecosystem with Samsung tablet, pc and phone and Apple is vastly better. They both work functionally about the same but how it works on the two systems and how you initially setup are very different. Apple is better.

I am pretty excited that Apple finally has pro motion so the need to get a pro model is not as necessary as it used to be.

iPhone 17

  • 6.27-inch, 120Hz LTPO display
  • Black, White, Steel Gray, Green, Purple, Light Blue colorways
  • A19 processor
  • 24MP TrueDepth camera
  • 50W MagSafe charging
  • iOS 26
  • Starting from $799-$849
I hope 256gb storage is standard on the iPhone 17 too! Just looking at these specs I am actually interested in getting a regular iPhone. The screen size is just about perfect. 6.5" would have been my sweet spot but 6.3" is big enough. Pro motion finally to all iPhone models!! Latest processor on all models!

All of the models in my opinion are getting decent spec bumps for year over year upgrades specially if you had an iPhone 13 or older you are getting more of everything!

I’m not in the market for anything new other than the hopeful TV 4k 2025. I need a new streamer to keep up with my new TV, which is laggy as hell.

I have the bull ring in my nose, but my hair is a nice, natural Oreo mix, my tattoos are limited to my arms and legs… and I couldn’t care less what my phone looks like, I upgrade yearly regardless 😂
