17e is $599, 17 is $799. That makes the 17 33% more expensive than the 17e. I don’t see 33% more as “not much more”.
True. But not if you’re buying it it on 0% finance which in the uk, most carriers offer plus Apple of course.

Then it’s two cups of coffee extra per month to get the regular 17 over the 17e.
 
I think for most iPhone users, the 17e is fine. If not obsessed with photographic perfection, photos/videos are still excellent, detailed, and sharp. For many, that extra $200 wouldn't buy additional significant value.

I do. Especially considering most people finance their devices over 24 months now.

For only $8 more per month the base 17 ***** all over the 17e. Just my opinion.🤷🏻‍♂️

As suggested, give it 24 hours to settle down. Also once the device has downloaded and indexed everything, turn it off and then a fresh restart should help too.
