Normally, I’d dismiss these super-early rumors, but this time I’m intrigued. The design of the 17 Pro Range clearly feels half-baked.more like a prototype, which leaves plenty of room for correction and real improvement. I didn’t use the word “refinement” on purpose, because what’s needed here goes beyond simple refinement.

Apple will likely stick to the plateau form factor for a few generations, but that awkward two-tone design , a result of the wireless charging challenges with aluminum is definitely something that needs to be addressed. And then there’s the extra chunky thickness!

“Overall, the iPhone 18 Pro models will feature a similar design as the iPhone 17 Pro models”. For myself it means a safe skip, as the 17 pro max was the biggest update since the 12.

I still don't get why their transparent case has that white square over the MagSafe area, and now they're going to make the phone itself transparent? Just to cover it up again?

I'll be ready to upgrade to the new iPhone 18 Svelte, 5.4 inch display, less than 100g, three decent cameras and a two day battery life.

Think the next year's update will be a small one. It will have the usual chip improvements and maybe a smaller dynamic island. Hope Apple will have a bright color for the Pro every year going forward. Apple's star will be their foldable in 2026.

I think black is more likely than red.
I'd have said black is more likely than orange, but here we are... Let's see in a years time if it was just a 1 year absence or a continued trend. Luckily I prefer blue anyway so it was an easy choice for me but I know so many that prefer black.
