The 14 Pro was great.

The pictures I've taken with it in 24 months are technically worse, but IMO visually slightly more appealing than 18 months with my 16 Pro. The main upgrade for me was 48 MP.

Most of the rumored changes sound reasonable. I’d rather see better battery life and cameras than a major redesign just for the sake of it.

If you have the iPhone 14 Pro or older, grab the iPhone 18 Pro.

If you have the iPhone 15 Pro or newer, wait for the 20th anniversary iPhone.

Or:

If you have a working iPhone, don’t buy a new one.

I have an iPhone XR myself, and it still works great. The iPhone 14 is still a fairly new model.

I'd love to have the option to buy the eSIM-only one here in Italy. I upgraded to an eSIM in 2023, I'd GLADLY trade an useless tray for a bigger battery.

In my opinion and experience, Siri is all but useless for anything other than identifying music that is playing. Other than that, I usually avoid even using it because it typically ends up being a waste of breath and an annoying, unsatisfying experience. So, me thinks any improvements will have a very high hurdle to make it even reasonable to use regularly. But maybe because I don't use it very much it's not "learning?" Don't know. Above my pay grade lol.
