Do you guys think next year's iPhone 18e will adopt the iPhone 15 design and maybe, maybe, finally include 120Hz screen (given almost ALL phones have it nowadays)?

If it got those two upgrades, plus a brighter screen (from the iPhone 15), I would'nt care about having just one camera, and this phone would be great for an entry level iPhone.

Sure

I doubt it. The regular phones only just got the 120Hz screens with the current generation, and that’s taken years.

The 16e was launched to get low-end users up to a minimum spec for Apple Intelligence, and to replace the SE.

The 17e corrects design decision mistakes from the 16e, like leaving MagSafe charging off.

I’m not expecting much more over the next few years.

Apple as a company are historically less shy about cannibalising their own future sales, but they’re not that crazy as to give everyone everything from an 18 in a cheaper 18e.

Nah, one step at a time. It’ll get the notch first, then eventually ProMotion.

Look at the evolution of iPhone 15 to 17. Everything didn’t come all at once. Your proposal basically suggests going from iPhone 14 to iPhone 17.

Did you meant to say Dynamic Island first? Would love to see that goofy notch gone by 18e.

If you honestly think the 18e is going to have a 120Hz screen you really don’t understand the market it’s aimed at.

I’m not even sure it will get the Dynamic Island.

If the 18 Pros don’t get the smaller Dynamic Island then expect the 18e to still retain the notch

As for 120Hz it will be years before it will get it but the 17e alone getting Ceramic Shield 2 and the anti reflective coating alone is a great upgrade for the screen of the E lineup

An iPhone 18e with 120Hz and the Dynamic Island at $599 will completely cannibalize the base 18 at $799, so I'm not so sure... Even though, logistically, it makes the most sense.

I doubt we will see 120hz, but we might see the iPhone 15 design and screen being reused in an iphone 18 package.
But I hope they don't put to much effort into small changes like that. Would have been a better strategy to update the "e" models every second year instead. And while they are at it, scrap the ipad base model, make an iPad"e" with the same HW as the iPhone XXe.
