Carrier iPhone 1st Gen and getting AT&T Unlimited Data Plan

I was wondering if anyone tried this recently or can confirm that this loophole is still open? What I'm trying to do is get unlimited data for my Dad's iPad. I remember reading about it in 2011 and was wondering if it could still be done.

That doesn't work anymore. But you can take over another person's unlimited data line.

That loophole got patched years ago.
It was great while it lasted back then.
I added unlimited iPhone data to 2 of my lines and still have it now with AT&T.
