Apple opened up the feature like last year already that allows you to select the phone you want, and go through the credit check so all you have to do on pre order day is log in and press ORDER.

That was nice! Smooth "transaction". You have to do it on your iPhone. I had opened the email on my Mac but it will only go so far there. Of course we are not guaranteed the phone we want. We still have to pre-order but doing it at 8:00 a.m. is soooo much nicer than 3:00 a.m. as we had to do in the past (east coast).

Yes the 8am time has me beyond excited!! Waking up at 2:45am every year and getting the iPhone and iPad ready on the Apple Store Page so both devices are ready at 3am was rough. I always used both because the store would always refresh quicker than the other device.

I kind of liked the 3am preorder. It felt like a badge of honor to wake up at 2:45am, refreshing incessantly and then try to navigate the app with my eyes all blurry. Then immediately coming to the forum to declare success! Only the diehard Apple fans on the east coast were up at that time. I’m curious to see how it goes this time at 8am
