will this extreme lag, compared to former versions, in 2.0 (I'm on original iPhone) be what it is? Or can it be something
That can be corrected by a software update?
Don't know much bout how that works.

2.0 seems pretty buggy compared to 1.4, so id imagine there will be an update pretty soon. Must say I am a little dissapointed about how sluggish the menus are and the frequency of the iphone freezing.

Hopefully it will get fixed asap…

2.0 has definitely slowed down my 1st Gen iPhone.
At least Safari has been crashing less than with 1.4.

iPhone lag fix...

I had similar issues... Original iPhone, 2.0 software, starting seeing significant lag times when making selections, accessing contacts, using Safari, etc. Since we have several phones in the office and I was the only one experiencing this, I finally narrowed it down the number of contacts I had on the phone (almost 5,000).

Here's how I fixed it; the lag is completely gone now:

Good luck! /Jim
