Tack the SE down at the bottom of the scale and you've got a pretty reasonable lineup, it seems to me. I wonder if models like the 11 or the XR will remain in the lineup.

6.1 12 Pro for me. I'll miss the 5.8 size of my X but I don't want a smaller phone especially if it doesn't have the Pro features
My reasons are exactly the same.
I'm with both of you on this. I'm tired of the weight of my Pro Max, logically I can only assume the larger Pro model this year will be even heavier, so I'm leaning towards the 6.1 Pro version myself. Even though that's unlikely be much lighter than my current Pro Max. Why can't they put the zoom on the regular models? Why Apple must you torture me like this???

6.1 inch oled iPhone might be a interesting buy for a lot of people who don't care about lidar and telephoto lens.

Will be a $700-$800 difference between the 6.1 inch and 6.7 inch iPhones down under in Aus.

Who am I kidding will most likely end up purchasing the 6.7 inch pro. 🤦‍♂️😂

Yes never realized the SE2020 had absolutely no zoom. Didn't expect massive zoom like the PM but I thought there would at least be some.

Well it will be much thinner, so it actually might be lighter.

I'm leaning towards using the 6.7" model for a year, and then trading-in and upgrading when the same size gets Touch ID on the screen next year. At which point I'll hold onto it for two more years until the next redesign.

I do think the 5.4" iPhone is hugely important. People are clamoring for a modern iPhone in a relatively compact size.

I also think this size range (5.4" - 6.1" - 6.7") makes a lot of sense. Small, medium, and large.

The rumored pricing on the 12 may make me wait a bit longer to move on from the 7.

I retired today, and one of the "gifts" was keeping the company 7 for my personal use, and I need to get a cell plan, likely a minimal pre-paid plan. My use will be minimal. Even on the company phone my use is 1-1.6 gb per month.

The new SE was tempting as an affordable upgrade, yet I would prefer a larger screen (aging eyes). Waiting a few months is not a huge deal. I have some Best Buy reward points that need to be used in 10 days, so I may use them to get the new SE, and see what happens in 6 months. I know it would not be a size upgrade, but I am not going to buy an 11 if the 12 will roll out with those prices and normal upgrades.

I suspect the 11 will stick around with a price drop to match current XR pricing and the XR will be discontinued.
If there's no SE Plus to be released anytime soon, there might actually be room for the XR in the lineup.

$399 iPhone SE
$499 iPhone Xr
$599 iPhone 11
$649 iPhone 12 5.4"
$749 iPhone 12 6.1"

Question is whether Apple will be willing to sell the Xr for that low.

I think xr will be dropped when 12 comes out

The XR wouldn’t have a point of existence to begin with. For what reason? (<— Rhetorical) You’d have three of the same model, which would essentially would be stepping on each other, and detract away from the Newest model.
