Hi,

My friend recently brought a 2G iphone, 8GB and I had a spare 3G lieing around, he wanted to know if he could trade his 2G for my 3G... WOuld it be worth while?

He said he'd also give me £50 towards a trade.... The only problem with the iphone 2G is that the screen is unsesnative at points.

Would it be worth while to do it?

That's a question that only you can answer. I take it you just need an old one for a backup. If you new one had to go in for repair, would you be happy using the 2G?

I'd personally like to do it, as my old 2G previouslly died on me.. but I've already got 2 3G, 1 3GS and 1 2G..

I bought a 2G iPhone to replace one I when the 3G came out. I always missed it and finally found a good deal on one. I still have my 3G and 3G S as well.

I have the 2G running 2.2.1 so I can still use some apps that won't run on 3.0.
