Iphone 2g Jailbreak assistance please, Just can't get it!

I have tried every iphone jailbreak I could find on the web to jailbreak this thing. I have the 2.2.1 restore, quickpwn22-1 and boot things. can't get a good copy of itunes 8 to work with the quickpwn. i get the phone to almost do the restore thing and it gives error message. Any suggestions regarding using newer or older versions of itunes? Help please!!!!! or refer a good forum to jailbreak the 2g at least. Thanks 🙂
 
Still having problem

I did everything you said but got to running redsnow and got the message:

Unable to recognize specified IPSW

What do you think i did wrong?
 
sounds like your having a tough time jb isn't for everybody. might be worth finding somebody on craigslist. they should charge more then 20-30 in your situation. just one other option.
