Am I just used to the 3GS or does the original iPhone seem painfully slow on 3.0. I just got one today and restored it to 3.0. The phone is slow. Scrolling, typing, launching apps. There is a major lag here. Do you guys recommend I go back to 2.2.1?

I won't go look for the link, since I assume you know about the main post from one of the MR members who thinks you need to downgrade to 2.2.1. You could look through that link, if you haven't already. He goes over the benefits ad nauseum. And I realize it was for the 3G, but I'm sure it's applicable, at least to him.

I'm the MacRumors member that prefers 2.2.1 over 3.0/3.1 on my iPhone 3G and original iPhone.

Yes, 2.2.1 was faster and smoother and ran like butter.

I've said it before, but running 2.2.1 is like having an iPhone 3GS without copy and paste.
