    HELP!

My phone was working great, with 2.2 I tried to build a firmware for 2.2.1 using Pnwage, I did it as iClarified says, then I ran with errors 21 - 1006 - 2001 and also some times a message saying that the ipod can not be detected.

I tried the dev team´s suggestion of "Fixing DFU mode on 10.5.6

As noted previously OS X 10.5.6 introduced a bug that affected the use of DFU mode. with some Macs. There have been previously published hacks and techniques to fix this, but here is another method that can be used to temporarily restore DFU functionality in order to use QuickPwn or PwnageTool."

From their web site, but is not working I still get the same errors!!!

    What can I do???

    Please help!
As said I have an 8GB GSM 2G iPhone and a black 2.2 MacBook running 10.5.6

I think you probably need to try it with a powered usb hub, that fix you tried has not worked with quite a lot of other people.

(But first, just double check you are getting into DFU mode correctly:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofpinyGlQ8I&feature=related. It's quite easy to get it not quite right.)

What is a powred usb hub?

I did get into DFU mode correctly, and everytime I try to restore with the custom firewire, I get the error, if I restore it with iTunes firmwire it works fine and the iPhone gets restore to its original settings. Which means it is locked:mad:

Do you think that if I try to unlocked with a previous firmwire on an iBook running Tiger, this will work?

The hub needs to be one that can be plugged into mains power.

Is there a way to downgrade my iTunes version?

it's not an issue with the firmware, or an issue with itunes(i don't believe) it's actually an issue with the mac OS

Just a simple suggestion but... try using a different iPod (or iPhone) cable and a different USB port. My buddy had the same exact issue; his phone would enter DFU and iTunes would recognize it (even on 10.5.6 w/o a USB HUB) but the phone refused to restore. Error 1006, 21, etc. For about two hours this occurred and nothing seemed to fix it no matter what we tried.

As luck would have it, I had an extra cable in my bag; we swapped the cables out and sure enough the restore process worked perfectly -- iTunes no longer complained. After this we started the jailbreak process over again and it worked flawlessly....maybe it's worth a try?

    I DID IT!!!!
    FIX IT FIX IT

    I used my iBook with
    - iTunes 8
    - Pwnage 2.2
    - iPhone original 2.2 ipsw
    - Restore iPhone to original 2.2
    - Built a custom 2.2
    - UL/JB with custom 2.2
    VOILA!

Now is syncing again with my previous configuration!!!

Thanks for the help everyone... I guess my mistake was that I was trying to UL/JB after restoring to 2.2.1

BTW what´s new on 2.2.1, is it really worth it???
