Resolved iPhone 2G with iTunes 10 on Lion

A friend wants to use my iPhone 2G while he waits for his new iPhone to arrive, so I wanted to wipe it clean to give to him. If I plug it into iTunes 10 on Lion it doesn’t show up on the list of devices.

Any ideas?

Check if the USB cable is ok (not damaged), try connecting to another USB port. The iPhone is charged? Also... try in another computer to see if it shows there.

Was totally the cable, it was managing to charge it, but just no data. Thanks!
