Iphone 2g wont turn on

Ok so my cousin gave me his old iphone 2g to fix because it was just sitting there. I tried turning the phone on but it wouldn't i didn't think anything of it i thought ill just put the phone into dfu mode and restore it but the phone doesnt even get recognized with my computer...what should i do 😕

ahah well it was jailbroken so wouldnt it go to apple hell 😛 but do u really think the phone is dead
