I have an old iPhone 3 and up until recently I have been using it as an iPod around the house after replacing it with an iPhone 4. Since installing iTunes 10.5 I can no longer sync music to the phone. All I get is a message in the iPhone device window saying that there is no sim card installed. Before the update I could sync with the phone with no problems and use it as an iPod. Does anyone know any way to get around this and continue to sync the phone with iTunes? Seems like a waste of a device that still works perfectly if I can no longer sync it and I don't really want to buy a sim card just to use the phone as an iPod. Thanks in advance.
