I have just jail broken my iphone for the first time and i am having a problem with cycorder... When i go into cycorder it tries launching and then it just closes and goes back to springboard, can anyone help me with this issue??

Did you respring/reboot after you installed? If that doesn't help try deleting/re-downloading it.
