iPhone 3G --> 3GS Swap Question

Hello all:
I had my friend order a 32GB 3GS for me, since I am still under contract with AT&T with my 16GB 3G. He is giving me the new phone in exchange for my old 3G and cash.

When I receive the 3GS on Friday, how do I ensure that there will be no problems activating the 3GS which was bought on his AT&T account on *my* account? What exact steps should I take to ensure I can activate the 3GS rightaway on my account?

BTW - it was ordered through Apple.com with AT&T as the carrier.

I have a similar question because I bought mine on eBay so it is a similar situation to the OP's.

Put in your current SIM card into the 3GS, and activate through iTunes.
