I think Vodafone's packages are really a rip off. Now let's see Turkcell's packages;

Turkcell has 3 packages; Small, Medium and Large package. You pay monthly fees for 18 months. Details(tax free prices);

Small Package: iPhone 8GB:222$, 16GB:380$ monthly fee: 60$, package includes 150SMS, 150 minutes of talking and 3GB EDGE.

Medium Package: iPhone 8GB sold for: 150$, 16GB sold for:300$, monthly fee: 91$, package includes 500 SMS, 500 minutes of talking, 3GB EDGE.

Large Package:iPhone 8GB: Free, 16GB:150$, monthly fee: 115$, package includes: 1000SMS, 1000 minutes of talking, 3GB EDGE.

There aren't any 3G service in Turkey yet so none of the carriers offer 3G service but Turkcell claims they will start service in 6 months, as well as they claim they have negotiations with Apple for a Turkish language selection in the future updates.

This is 29th of September and when i go to a Turkcell store there are still lines to get a new iPhone and sign a contract. There aren't anyone buying or even looking to an iPhone in Vodafone shops though😀. Turkcell made a press conferance saying that they have sold 71.000 iPhones in the first day while Vodafone stays silent. It's day 3 and i think they've sold 140.000 iPhones at least, because every store there is a line!

Vodafone and Turkcell's official sites announcing the prices.

I hope with these amounts of selling Apple sees Turkey's potential with 71 million population and comes here with official Apple Stores(currently there are Premium resellers)

NOTE: Prices are converted to dollars from Turkish Liras

QUICK UPDATE: It's been a week since the iPhone came out in Turkey and still Turkcell is having stock shortage, i went to 4 stores they were all sold out. They are all expected to get new iPhone's in stocks on 9th of October.
