iphone 3G cannot toggle between language choice for typing

hi, all

if anyone can help, i am thankful.

my iphone 3G cannot toggle between language during typing/editing, it will always go back to the home screen 🙁🙁🙁

1. Iphone 3G Jailbroken and Unlock
2. Version 4.2.1 (recently upgraded from 3.1.3)
3. Firmware 06.15.00
4. Model MB489J

any advise is appreciated, thank you.

I have tried recover mode from sn0wbreeze_iPhone_3G-4.2.1-8C148 but still the same result.
