iPhone 3G data plan on an iPad

Does this work with a cut SIM card?

I tried searching/researching, and haven't been able to find out.

I'm just curious, because I'm considering ordering an iPad tonight to get into the unlimited plan, but if I can use an iPhone's plan with the iPad and swap the SIM, I'd rather do that, since I can't imagine using the iPad where I would need 3G often.

Just consider swapping sims is a PITA and you won't get calls while using the iPad. Just saying... 😎

You'r right. There's nothing I'd need an iPad for 3G wise if I had my phone.

I've been making and receiving calls on the iPad with Skype since Day 1. And even if you do a crude of a job as the thing below (not mine), you'll be getting phone calls on the iPad.

It works.
