iPhone 3g Ebay? Sealed. Activation Process?!

Hi,

I am just about to but a sealed iPhone 3G off Ebay...how should i go about activating so that i can use my 02 Simpliciy Tariff and that the phone will Sync with iTunes and be safe for future updates?

You can't.

you'll need to wait for the Dev team unlock which should only be a few days away.
then you can use thier program (pwnage) to unlock and activate your phone to use any sim you want.

be safe on ebay! lots of scam artists at the moment.

Either that or go into O2 and get an iphone Sim and activate it via itunes...probably some costs involved but it will work.

Why? why on earth would you advise someone to pay over the odds for a phone then use the official method to activate it....resulting in an 18mnth contract on a phone they could have gotten for free on that plan.
