does my 3g iphone have a mic?

i just opened up my iphone headphones as i have been using a previous pair for the last year

does it have a mic? if so, can i use it with the ipod touch?

They do have a mic, but I'm not sure if they work with the iPod touch or not.

Yes it should have a microphone for making calls. I also believe it works with the iPod touch.

The microphone should work with the iPod touch, but only the 2nd gen. The first generation touch isn't compatible with it.
