Does anyone know if there is supposed to be any resistance when the home button is pressed? I see the home button's flex cable has two resistors. R1 and R2. I'm having a horrible time repairing a faulty home button. The phone was wet and this is the last part I can't get to work. The home button is being a bugger.. I've tried 3 new buttons. When I short across the contacts on the board, the home button function, on the phone, works fine. I even soldered some small wires to the board and attached a home button to the wires. The button's I've got still wouldn't work but shorting the wires worked fine.. I'm wondering if I've actually got 3 bad home buttons or if there's something wrong with the phone and it's lost it's "sensitivity" to the home button being pressed. I have no home buttons that I'm able to test a Dead Short across when I close the contacts.. I have to put my meter on a high resistance setting and then I do see some continuity.. Any thoughts would be most welcome!
