Iphone 3g in a iphone 2g

Iv been thinking about trying to put a 3g iphone into a 2g iphone but i not 100% on if it will fit.
Do you know if its been done yet and if so link me please.

no, it is not possible. the iphone 2g and 3g are different designs....

Well I like the look of the 2g iPhone better and id like the Speed of the 3g but the looks of the 2g.

why not carry around both and carry the sim card remover?

That's what I've been doing ever since the 3G came out. It was tough at first but now I can do it one-handed in my coat pocket.

Why do you do it. I'm really interested now. Do you take calls on your 2g and the rest on 3g?
