iPhone 3g in recovery mode

After erasing all content and settings my iPhone is now on the apple logo or i can put it in the plug into itunes screen (recovery mode) however when i plug it in nothing happens on my computer or iTunes, it just charges... HELP 🙁!

was on ios 4 and jailbroken with jailbreakme.com... no SHSH 🙁(
