Today i seeHere that Ericsson had show his new cellphone 4G. The iPhone is only 3G. So is already old...

1) 4G doesn't even exist in America i believe.
2) Faster internet doesn't make the iPhone old. It just means well...there is faster internet. It's like dial up and cable. Once cable came out, that still doesn't make the internet "old".

Wow, what the hell is that?
How do you hold that on your ear? :D
lol

yes but the 4G is more fast...3g is already old. why Apple relese new iPhone with only 3G?

please read the above comments. NO US network has support for 4G and very few other networks around the world. THATS THE REASON! Practicability. What good is a 4G phone if there are no major support for it yet.:confused:

"4G is more fast"? I believe the correct phrasing would be, "4g is faster," but either way, 3g is more widely available. I agree with Applejuiced, "What good is 4G where there is no 4G coverage from the network?
AT&T is rolling out 3G in more and more places and they have most major cities covered with 3G."

Long Term Evolution (LTE/4G) is just a plan at the moment, not a reality. It's just part of a roadmap for operators that are currently using 3G/WCDMA with HSPA. We've another two years minimum of speed increases on HSPA, which will top 14mbps, before LTE kicks in.

iPhone 3G is plenty new. Hell, the iPhone is groundbreaking and new and it only uses GSM as its cellular radio ;)

they are building 3G networks because they don't want fugly phones like that

but seriously. america only has EGDE pretty much all around the country. 3G is still in the early growing stages. in europe, 3G is like EDGE here, it's everywhere. like someone else said, it's all part of the roadmap.

Who knows, it might take years.
I know worldwide 3G is more popular and available in most countrys.
So now that the iPhone is going to be released worldwide in over 12 different countrys 3G is a better choice cause its already available. Not many places have 4G tech yet. As the cellphone market evolves and companys roll out 4G coverage thats when the next iPhone in 2-3 years maybe would be 4G.

ok and when AT&T & company will build 4G network?

December 21st, 2012

The same day the mayan calender ends, and the world probably ends too.

What on earth? Maybe when 3G has the coverage of Edge will 4G be even a viable option. The fastest I've seen is HSDPA, can any UK network, or even European network support 4G? I've never seen it on my travels...

And Moses on a boat that's an ugly phone. New tech needn't be ugly, manufacturers.

To ever get on 4G there will need to be serious improvements in battery technology before devices will get any smaller than that. AT&T's implementation of HSDPA/HSUPA will probably be pushing those speeds within a few years anyway (hopefully only requiring firmware updates on the iPhone).

I just bought a blu-ray player. I don't have any blu-ray disks and don't intend on buying any for five years but who cares

/sarcasm

the chineses had already 4G network -.-

America doesn't even have decent 3G coverage yet, I only want the 3G because I'm in Britain, but for the majority of people harping on about 3G, the majority can't even use it anyway.
