good stuff for you! hopefuly the stock levels are pretty high in all o2 stores....did he say how many the have in etc? are there 16gb white ones in?

re; motorolla, they are awful alright, i remember i had the v3x about 2 months before it was out.....i hated every second of it, but sold it to ppl cause the commish on selling a 3g phone was huge! im a bad bad person i know! :(

Ill have to check out the specifics when I see them next. Only got round to talking to them whilst I was sat outside having lunch at a cafe. Yeah the comish was always good on those things, for obvious reasons lol

Pretty much - and definitely in the countries which will see the iPhone 3G launch on the 11th.

We've yet to see any details about NZ pricing or plans for the iPhone, which might stay that way until release day too - while I am a potential purchaser or the iPhone, I'm not going to rock up to the store without first knowing exactly what my options are and having figured out what is best for me. So I'd say I might end up getting my iPhone a day or so after America gets theres!

Yep, exactly. Vodafone had better hurry up with their pricing... Although I'm not sure that our Invercargill branch will even have the iPhones on launch day. We're too small and insignificant.

T-Mobile is going to charge 15 EUR per month remaining contract time

T-Mobile made originally 24 months contract and in contrast to many other countries you can not get it "upgraded" for free. For every month remaining contract they will charge 15 EUR on top of the new contract which will last again 24 month, which taken that the prices have been risen anyway, I am no longer sure if I go to upgrade rightaway...

very disappointed...

Can't you just threaten to leave them and go to another provider unless they waive the fee? It works with the mobile phone providers in the UK! :)

Not really going to work here in germany, the contracts are very tuff, meaning you stick with it to the end anyway, the only argument might wanna be that oficially the original contract was never subsidized, so maybe there is an aspect moraly... I am very happy with my current Iphone and pay a fortune on international roaming anyway while traveling around the globe, so I might even be better of with the current one, as 3G would only allow me to use the data services even more :)

So I will see what comes, fired of a mail to customer service, telling them I would based on my monthly bills not see any reason for why I should pay another 15 EUR, on top of approx. 300-400 EUR for call and data roaming every month anyway. So maybe I buy one contract in each country I more often be in and stick with 3-4 iphones, might turn out cheaper long term ;-)

Another bit of interesting info...apparently, when I asked a friend at O2 about the 16 gig, I was told that I may aswell go for the 8 because they wont get the 16's in for week or so after launch.

Medium sized store, so maybe the 16's are just getting shipped to the bigger branches? hmm

O2 to open at 8:02AM

On my lunch break today i went to the O2 shop in Sutton, London, they have posters up advertising the availability of the iPhone on 11th July at 8:02AM the morning launch is indeed confirmed.. interestingly, they had bordered up their iPhone display today with a large poster of the iPhone completely covering the table that used to have the old iPhone docks (sans iPhones for a while now) so you cant see the tables at all, its like a 3d box over the display with a huge 3g iPhone on the front. Guess macworld.co.uk were lying.

I am kind a confused a little bit ... so Att will have iPhone at 8:00 am and Apple only at 18:00 ???
