iPhone 3G LCD/Digitizer won't fit anymore?

Hi, I just replaced a Digitizer + LCD on my iPhone 3G. Everything works fine but when it's seated, the top part won't sit flush inside... It's sticking out as if something is blocking it on the inside. I tried inserting it by sliding the glass part from the bottom to the top but no luck. There are no pieces obstructing the passage so I have no clue why it can't sit perfectly inside.

Can someone please help me out? Thanks

Maybe the adhesive is not as strong as it should be?
