Iphone 3g no data HELP ME!

Hey everyone, I just bought an iphone 3g off ebay and I wanted to make sure it would work...Ok I have an account with at&t...Right now Im using a blackjack(no data, just voice and unlimited texting).
ok so what I was thinking was when I get the iphone 3g I would Hackactivate and jailbreak it through pwnage tool and just pop in my sim card....then block 3g and edge through one of those downloads...Is that good? Will I be able to use the iphone 3g normally, make calls, text, and use wifi for all the apps...Let me know

Also how should I hackativate my iphone 3g...Do I leave my sim card in there, when I run pwnage tool, or do I do something else? and will it let me function my iphone in tunes after the pwnage tool stuff

All you have to do is use Quickpwn. It doesn't really matter if the sim card is in or out. You can follow our guide here to jailbreak your device.
